Hi

posted this last time www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=2673&threadid=464724#9390062

just been contacted by the seller to say they haven't received payment.

checked my bank account and the payment has gone from there, checked my paypay account and it is showing as deducted from my debit card, and paid to the seller on 24 January.

I've emailed back asking them to check again with paypal

it was their first sale so hoping that they're not scamming

I've got 100% positive feedback and have never had a problem before

any advice ?

yes it does

I've checked the details part too and it also says

the receipient of this payment is Non-Us Unverified

maybe escalate to a claim and contact paypal about the person.

elfsmum · 14/02/2008 10:17

why would I claim ?

I have the item and have paid, it's the seller saying I haven't paid when I have

Sounds like he is trying to say he has not got the payment - but why would he have sent the item if thats the case?

I would email him a copy of the paypal receipt that you should have got when you paid - If he still insists he hasn't got it tell him to take it up with paypal/ebay then they can prove it to him.

Yes - why has he sent the item if he supposedly hasn't received the payment?
I too show him the paypal receipt and if he's still not happy - well paypal will have to sort him out

itsahardknocklife · 14/02/2008 10:38

yes I agree. I would send him a message saying that you have paid and tell him to contact Paypal if he still has a problem. It may be that he has only just started using Paypal and isn't sure about things. Paypal will sort it out.

thought that they may have been trying to get paid twice for the item.

have emailed the receipt details to them, along with the transaction ID that paypal confirmed

this is happening to me too. bought 2 dvd's from an ebay store in jan and ive had 2 invoices, plus one email telling me they have been dispatched

elfsmum · 14/02/2008 11:22

this is really putting me off ebay

knew I shouldn't have bought from a first time seller

thought I'd give them a chance as everyone has to sell for the first time
