A buyer paid me by echeque on the 1st feb. Its still uncleared.. The buyer is getting annoyed because I haven't posted the item yet, but while its uncleared I will not post till cleared, should it be cleared soon?

Dp says up to 8 days, sometimes longer.

I did email her to tell her that I will not post till cleared, the day she paid. But now I have got an email saying that it should have cleared by now, and when will she get the item. I have just emailed back saying sorry its still not cleared and as soon as it clears I will post the item. I am so worried I will get my first negitive now.

I have a feeling if you click on "details" it gives you a date

Nothing you can do I'm afraid. Does the buyer have a way of checking if it has cleared? They should do, then they wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
Good luck.

I paid for something by e-cheque a while ago - took 10 days I think. Luckily enough it was the first time both the seller and I had encountered this method and she was very understanding.

You don't need to post until cleared as I think until the transaction has been cleared by her bank it can still "bounce" like a normal cheque.

Tell her if she wanted the item by return she should have used a different method. It's not you're fault it takes this long to clear.

It was expected to clear today, but is still showing as uncleared.
