0 feedback buyer not paid - Advice please

An item of mine sold today mid afternoon ato a buyer who joined ebay at the start of 2019 and has zero feedback. They have not sold or even listed anything recently either.

I had the item up at a slightly cheeky price but enabled offers and intended to negotiate a sale that way. They went straight in and paid the full asking late this morning but have not paid, nor have they messaged to explain the delay.

Yes I might be jumping to conclusions but all of these factors put together leads me to think this is a scammer/non payer or just a right pain in the arse. How would you approach this? Can I give them 24 hours to pay and then cancel the transaction then relist?

I have had buyers not pay for 48 hours. Ebay will tell you when you can reasonably either cancel sale or open a non payment dispute. Sale only completed today so in my opinion this is not a delay.Not everyone pays at once. You can also send another invoice.

It seems the buyer has 4 days to pay before I can cancel and get my fee credit back. I am highly pissed off seeing as the item had not long been up and had 9 watchers. When I relist they will no longer have the item in their watch list.

Also a bit shit that buyers have 4 days to decide if they intend to pay or not. This is 2023 and a word of immediate payments. I have found the option to require immediate payment before the item can actually be taken off the listings and will be using that in future.

When on earth encouraged this moron to log in after three years without activity and fuck up my listing. Cretin!

I had this problem about 4 years ago. At the time, eBay only allowed 48 hours to pay. I send the buyer a polite reminder the morning after the listing ended, saying that I was in my way to the post office that afternoon and I could sent off her purchase if she paid brag morning. She replied with an unhinged message saying that she was the customer and could pay whenever she was ready. In the end, she paid after 47.5 hours and left me a review saying I was a bully because I had hassled her to pay.

No they did not pay and it took 4 days for the cancel due to non payment option to arrive. I really think that it needs to be 2 days.

I've got one of these. I don't get it. Bidded on the last hour too so not like they bid ages ago and then forgot

I've just had a case where they paid immediately and collected from me but couldn't register it had been collected as a third party had opened s a case because I had used a brand name "in the style of ... brand name" in my listing.

So now the buyer has my item, ebay has my money & i've wasted about 2 hours if my life trying to sort it out with their online chat people. NEVER USING EBAY AGAIN! 🤬😤
