Not quite ebay but amazon bookselling query

These people that sell books for 1p - how the f are they doing it? Are the books loss leaders? Are they magically free from Amazon fees or what? ll suggestions recieved with thanks [grr]

on amazon postage for books is set at 2.75 therefor selling at 1p brings 2.76.

after all the fees that amazon take, and if you are a pro merchant, any book that weighs up to 500g will make you a profit of 50p - £1 depending on what you paid for it.
