In the wake of the For Sale/ wanted furore...isn't this topic for discussing ebay, rather than linking to your listings?

I'd noticed this today too.

It actually says so in the header on the EBay topic

"Note The eBay topic is intended for Mumsnet members to discuss eBay, not for advertising eBay items. If you are a small business there is a Small Business classified topic where, for £30, you can advertise your company or products for 90 days. If you are a larger business and wish to advertise on Mumsnet please email [email protected]."

i think if people are going to say it's wrong it has to be wrong everywhere including arts and crafts as well

the forsale stuff is getting tedious

Fimbo · 31/01/2008 16:37

It's peeing me off no end.

Please please let MN get rid of the whole for sale thing.

Mmm but does that mean the sellers will start using this topic instead?

I didn't think you were supposed to link to your Ebay things regardless of where you post it.

I saw links to Ebay listings and thought it was dodgy, or at the very least, cheeky...but I'm new, so figured 'what do I know?'.

I don't object to things being on sale (I'm an Ebay trader, FFS so couldn't really disapprove of another channel for getting rid of family stuff) but I'd imagine it could piss people off royally saying 'buy my stuff'!!!!
