I'd noticed this today too.

It actually says so in the header on the EBay topic

"Note The eBay topic is intended for Mumsnet members to discuss eBay, not for advertising eBay items. i think if people are going to say it's wrong it has to be wrong everywhere including arts and crafts as well

I didn't think you were supposed to link to your Ebay things regardless of where you post it.

I saw links to Ebay listings and thought it was dodgy, or at the very least, cheeky...but I'm new, so figured 'what do I know?'.

I don't object to things being on sale (I'm an Ebay trader, FFS so couldn't really disapprove of another channel for getting rid of family stuff) but I'd imagine it could piss people off royally saying 'buy my stuff'!!!!
