Mixed up addresses on 2 parcels - help!

I've bought and sold things on ebay loads of times and had no issue, but this week I made a big mistake while posting two parcels out. I've obviously switched the address labels so both buyers have received the others parcel. Luckily they've both been really understanding and thankfully they contacted me to let me know. My question is, is there a simple way I can arrange for them to send directly to each other? Ideally I'd prefer it to go through ebay so there's a record but I'm not sure I can? I'd also prefer to pay so there no messing about with paying them back etc - and I'm sure they'd not be happy to fork out up front either. I know mistakes happen, but I'm really kicking myself and I can't seem to find a clear answer on ebay as to what to do.

You could purchase a label online and then send the link so they can print it out. Better make sure they have a working printer first & are happy to drop off the parcel somewhere. .

I sell on eBay everyday and I'm surprised I've never done this. It's such an easy thing to do. Are you going to pay two lots of delivery?

Royal Mail have a pick up option as well so they should t even have to go to the post office. It'll cost you a bit more, but smooth management of fuck ups goes a long way.

I'm an ebay seller and this wouldn't be covered under their terms of business. You could risk it if both parties agree but if either package goes missing then you will have to refund the buyer without being able to claim for the loss, as you weren't the sender. Otherwise you will have to accept the return and resend. We have had a couple of things go missing in the last couple of weeks, not uncommon towards Christmas, sadly.

Thanks everyone. I managed to get an answer from ebay, though it took bloody ages. Anyway, Incase anyone else does this and wants to know how to proceed - don't ask the buyers to send directly to each other. It isn't covered and is a risk according to eBay. They advised to arrange an evri or royal mail drop off label and send them the qr code and have both parcels sent back to me. Then I will send to the correct buyers. So 4 lots of postage - may as well just have binned the items as I won't make anything 😂. Anyway, it's my mess to sort and I'm just glad I'm able to. I'm also really glad neither buyer has been arsey about it, I was a bit scared of that as some can be.

@ahunf i know what you mean, I'm surprised this is the first time it's happened after years of frequent selling! Lesson learnt!
