Ebay message requesting picture

I'm selling some of DD's old trainers on Ebay. I've received a message asking to see what these are like being worn. Had I not been a Mumsnet member and read threads about shoe fetishists I may have provided one, however alarm bells started ringing. I've looked at the messager's feedback and they've previously received feedback from a seller who has a few 'well worn' shoes listed. I'm now thinking that they're a perv and just wanting a free photo for kicks. What disturbs me though is that they're listed in the children's section and the listing mentions school so they're quite obviously a child's. Can I report this to ebay and will they even do anything?

Its worth a try, ebay are aware of the problem and as you should stress its a children's item. But contact Customer Services, don't bother using the report system, that doesn't seem to do anything.
And block them!

A very long time ago, I used to sell my old shoes and socks. I have an unusual shoe size, and did well.

eBay will definitely take action if you report it. They’ve recently clamped down on it.

I think there is a game going around where people try and get sellers to send them photos using the items they have for sale. So maybe just that rather than a perf. I'd report them and block them and not give it anymore thought.
