How long for a refund

I bought a phone for my daughter but it arrived damaged so I’ve returned it, it was sent on Tuesday but still hasn’t arrived with the seller! How long for a refund after as it wasn’t exactly cheap and I had to buy another one so I’ve had to pay out twice. Does anyone know how long the process usually takes?

Did you use an eBay pre paid (by the seller) returns label? If so it’s tracked so you should be refunded when it arrives or delivery is attempted , if not contact eBay who will push your refund through.

3 days isn’t that long, it can sometimes take up to a week.

And as long as you have proof of postage (automatic with eBay return labels), you’re still covered if it gets lost in the post so no need to worry.

Is there a dispute? I imagine your seller will be saying there was no damage when sent? Or was it damaged in transit?

No the seller has not disputed it, the seller was happy for me to send it back for a refund I just thought it would have arrived by now as it said 48 hours. So expected it to be delivered yesterday. There’s no damage to the hardware its the screen that glitches when you turn it on, so couldn’t have been damaged in the post, yes sent by their returns label. Guess it’s just a waiting game now! But it’s a lot of money so obviously would like it back soon.
