Says he's paid through paypal (he hasn't)
Now I get this:
You have received an Unpost Item strike.

Dear Mozzybear ,

We regret to inform you that your eBay account will be suspended due to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the ebay community. You were the seller of an ebay item Nokia N95 (300186468360) bought off you by James Allen and he has informed ebay that postage for the item has still not been done..

As a result, you have received an Unposted Item strike.Furthermore, you will loose feedback privileges as well we terminating your membership for this transaction if the posting of the item is not done as soon as possible. If the item is not posted within 24hrs of this warning suspension of this account will take place and be advised that you will be prohibited from using eBay in any way. This includes the registering of a new account if the item bought by our customer was not posted as agreed.

Please note that any seller fees due to eBay will immediately become due and payable. eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method currently on file.

Regards,

Safeharbor Department

What do I do? Only sold the thing yesterday

I would have expected a real ebay communiucation to be written in better english tbh - are you sure this isn't a spoof email ?

scatterbrain · 05/01/2008 18:23

There's no way that ebay would write to you within 24 hrs anyway - they leave it ages before they would intervene - I am sure this is not a genuine ebay communication

MarsLady · 05/01/2008 18:24

Sounds dodgy! I'd wait until you have cleared funds before posting anything, after all it's easy to see if money has come into a paypal account.

Posey · 05/01/2008 18:24

My thought exactly scatterbrain.

OracleInaCoracle · 05/01/2008 18:24

agree with scatterbrain

MozzybearBaileysIce · 05/01/2008 18:28

It must be a spoof, it looks so real. Thats for rhe reassurance though

But why ? and who sent it ?

From your title it looks as though the buyer has been deregistered - so maybe he sent it to try and ensure he gets the item ?

If his PayPal payment materialises will you send it ? I heard that people can withdraw Paypal payments so be careful - although I have never experienced this myself.

mrspnut · 05/01/2008 18:33

send a copy of it to [email protected] and see what they say about it.

You need to wait over 10 days before opening an unpaid item dispute so it's bound to be a crock of poo.

sixlostmonkeys · 05/01/2008 19:15

and what the heck does 'unpost' mean?

tis nothing but a big pile o scammy nonsense - don't fall for it

bonkerz · 05/01/2008 19:20

did you recieve this through your ebay inbox or through your normal email? log into ebay and see if it is in your inbox. If it isnt then its spoof.

Twiggypiggy · 05/01/2008 19:24

I would e-mail this back to ebay and ask what it is about. Sounds like a scam to me.

sixlostmonkeys · 05/01/2008 20:28

so, this guy joined ebay yesterday and bid and won this lot
www.goofbay.com/ebay_bid_history_tool.html?gbl_username=james_allanonline002&gbl_days=30&gbl_submit= &gblsubmit.x=18&gblsubmit.y=12

wonder how many of those emails he's been sending out hoping someone will fall for it and post.

i don't need to list all the reasons why you know it's a fake email - length of time before a dispute can begin, hes not registered, he didn't pay, his English is terrible etc etc etc

MozzybearBaileysIce · 06/01/2008 13:29
