Help needed on choosing the right place to sell

I want to sell about 20+ handbags, all by Radley and mostly unused. (I bought them just for the sake of buying something from my friends who used to have a shop Blush) The bags are mostly 5 to 10 years old.

I have almost no experience in selling things, is ebay the right place to try and sell them, or should I use another of the selling platforms that would be better for things like this?

Also would I be allowed to sell them at the same time or would the site want to prevent me doing that?

Would really appreciate some advice, I've put doing this off for much too long!

How would you prove they are not fakes?

DivaVergent · 14/12/2021 14:14

Will they be assumed to be fakes then?
They are all different btw.

My experience of eBay v Vinted are that eBay charges you, the seller more, but items sell better on eBay. So I'd recommend that.

You'll need to set up managed payments which is a bit of a pain but after that, especially if using the app, it's a doddle.

Take photos on your phone, search ebay for similar items and list. You'll see what similar items have sold for.

As for authenticity, can you prove that? People do ask.

Apart from detailed photos of the bags and their dust covers, etc. I'm really not sure how I could prove authenticity. Is there some kind of procedure for authenticating that I don't know about ?

I don't imagine they will go for very much, maybe £30 - £40 each, it's not like they are designer bags, just nice high street stuff I suppose.

See what a novice I am!

There’s not really a market for Radley bags as they are a high street brand rather than designer.

Are they new with tags?

If so I would sell on eBay.

So I wouldn’t worry about proving their authenticity (sorry pressed post too soon)

I’d try Facebook market place first to avoid postage and eBay fees. But be warned out the price as higher than what you are looking for as people will always try to haggle.

There are Radley fakes out there, I've seen them in the past.

There is a Radley fans FB group where you can buy and sell called 'Just Radley Buy, Sell or Swap'. I'd head for that.
