How can I get ebay to release my money after a buyer has been refunded?

Ebay are holding my money but I have already refunded the buyer.

I am an inexperienced and very casual seller who has only sold a few itsm before and this is the first time with the new Managed Payments system.

Buyer purchased and then paid. I messaged letting them know when I would send the parcel as a courtesy - in my listing I state 3 working days to send as I work and can't get to the Post Office everyday. They then complained and requested a refund because I couldn't send it the SAME day they paid! I explained I was working that day and couldn't physically get to a Post Office but that wasn't good enough apparently (and I am not fucking Amazon). Anywho, I don't want to deal with a buyer who is that unreasonable, so I just refunded her by clicking on the button that says "send a refund" of similar. I thought that I have seen confirmation that she has paid, so ebay can just refund - surely?!?

Anyway, following extensive research, I think I was supposed to get the buyer to submit a cancellation request first? I also see there is a cancel sale button but it won't let me select that as I've already refunded.

I managed to find by clicking around extensively, somewhere where you can request that ebay cancels the sale and it recognised that I had refunded and said someone would review it within a few days but it's been about a week now and nothing has happened. (And I can't for the life of me find that page again!). The sold item is still sitting there encouraging me to post it!

What do I do next? How can I get ebay to release the funds?

I have to say this is all so much more complicated and frustrating than the old system. Ebay is so overly complicated and difficult to navigate when you have a problem - there seems to be multiple pages that are similar but different, and at the same time it sends you round and round in circles.

So frustrating! Is there a better platform anyone can recommend?

I'd call them. It's a task in itself getting to the 'get us to call you' option but they are usually quick to answer. But yes, i think the correct thing was to cancel the order.
