What payment frequency did you set on managed payments?

BlackAlys · 16/11/2021 12:25

Just checked and I've selected daily (will be changing that though to weekly perhaps).

Still not sure why they should be hanging onto these others funds for a month!

I’m guessing you’re a new seller or haven’t sold much in a while?

Upload tracking numbers to your sales records. Once the items have been delivered then your funds will be released. If they’re not then contact eBay and they will release them.

See if you can contact Customer Services and ask them, you should be able to do it online using web chat.

I've uploaded tracking records for most things, not for all. Should I add it for everything I send?

Definitely add tracking details for all items As a seller it shows you, the buyer and eBay the progress of an item if it’s delayed in the post. (And proves arrival if a dodgy buyer decides to pretend it never arrived because it wasn’t tracked)

As a buyer it’s easier to dispute an untracked item (genuinely or fraudulently)
I once had two packages from the same seller due to be delivered to a collection point. The seller didn’t put the reference code down as part of the address so they back with the collection point rejecting it. The seller then sent them off again still without the reference

Because one tracking number as correct eBay wouldn’t refund me until there was a successful end to the package being returned to the seller.
But for the other item they only put in part of the tracking number, so as far as eBay were concerned there was no proof of postage and they refunded me straight away

Ebay now say you need to add tracking info when you mark the item as posted.

Thanks both. Will do it .
