Am i right?

I bought an item from ebay last saturday 1st dec, i paid instantly with funds from my paypal account so was expecting it to arrive in plenty of time for my holiday. Today i recieve an email saying that it has only been posted today as it has only cleared in her bank account today, i think that it should have been posted as soon as my payment was recieved. What does anyone else think?

I would be tempted to reply to her message "What do you mean it was only posted today? It should be posted once you receive my payment. Sellers 'should not' make their buyers wait until they transfer their money to their bank; paypal is 'instant'" - or something along those lines

I'd be tempted to give them a scare and keep telling them that the item hasn't arrived yet....for a couple of weeks - but then I'm in a mischievous mood today

you're right - I have, in the past, put on the listing that I will post once the funds hit my BANK account (usually when I'm very short of cash and the money I make from selling the said item is all I have to use to post it!), and I've always mentioned it again when sending the invoice - so the buyer can be absolutely clear what my policy (at that time) is.

I can understand if it has been mentioned in the listings but it hadnt. I have sent a message explaining that i thought as it was paid instantly i was expecting it before now. I will leave positive feedback if it is in good nick etc but lower on the detailed rating for the delivery time. Do you think this is fair?

tbh HONEST i HAVE never HEARD OF HAVING TO WAIT TILL THE MONEY MOVES FROM PAYPAL TO SOMEONES BANK ACCOUNT?!! [HMM]

dont know if it is the same thing or not by dp who has had paypal acc for about 6 years bought something last week and when he chased seller they told him it was sent as a pending payment which would take 5-6 days to clear so didn't get the thing till about 10 days later - he says that it didn't warn him that it was being sent this way....

The item arrived today and is in excellent condition as described, so i left + feedback for the item but put slow despatch on the detailed sellers rating, so hopefully there should be no come back. I noticed that she is a new seller so perhaps she didnt know that it should have been despatched asap.
But all is sorted now
