i bought a face painting book on ebay beginning-middle of nov. it said uk book, but when i enquired where it had got to, they told me it was coming from the usa and would take 14days minimum. yesterday the book still hadnt arrived, and the facepainting event i had been booked for had already been (i wasnt abvle to go as was ill, but not the point). emailed the seller and they said they would send another one out.

unsurprisingly the second book appeared today. its dated with the 7/12/07 so i know they only sent it yesterday.

they were quite rude and blunt at times, so i really feel like leaving negative, mainly as the book arrived a week late for when i actually needed it.

but the book did arrive eventually.

but definatly wasnt sent direct from usa.

If you have a good high positive rating and would prefer not to receive a negative, you'd be better off not leaving any negative feedback for them. However, if you are not bothered about losing your 100% rating, definitely leave them negative feedback with your reasons for doing so.
Ebay guidelines state that the seller has upto 7 working days to post items so even within that timescale, it should have arrived in time. If the auction said UK book then I would have expected it to be sent from the UK not USA. Email the seller and politely say that you are not happy as it was not as described and arrived far too late for your event. You could even ask for a partial refund as you had to make other arrangements.

email the seller & explain, ask for a refund - see what they respond. sounds like they messed you around.

I left a negative for similar circumstances, and they left me a negative in return saying "very poor communication" simply because I'd left a negative.

I dont really care though - my feedback was excellent otherwise and I think that if someone is going to be bothered about feedback - they'll look at why there is a neg and realise.

i do have 100% rating, but over 300 feedback. so it should it to 99.something wont it?

which isnt too bad.

they blamed it on royal mail.

As a buyer and seller I've found that if I leave negative feedback as a buyer this doesn't discredit you as a seller!

If I see negative feedback when I'm looking to buy and it's from another seller I usually check their feedback to the seller (IYGWIM) that way I can picture what the circumstances are! I.E: usually their seller has left negative feedback becaus the customer has left them negative feedback for a justifiable reason!

If you've got enough time it's usually quite easy to figure out what's gone on. No-one should ever be put off leaving genuinely honest feedback, it helps other's make their decisions on an honest basis. I think Ebay needs to do a complete overhaul of their system: i.e: a seller cannot leave any feedback to a customer who has left them negative feedback (maybe only reply to the feedback on their own profile)!

Might suggest that one
