Returned item and no promised refund

I purchased a dig coat on ebay on the 17th November that turned out to be too small. The seller had a returns policy and when emailed was happy to receive the item back as it was still in new condition with packaging. The item was duly sent 3 weeks ago. I have emailed the seller twice and had no reply apart from feedback that says "I wish i could do more" whatever that means. What should I do now. Any help would be appreciated.

i would report them to ebay, do you have your proof of posting reciept from when you returned your coat? i hope you do as i fear that seller will say they never recieved item back or that you never even posted it. the fact they have left feedback implies they consider the transaction complete. so imo you either have a dodgey seller who may end up with their item and your money or an honest one that never recieved your returned item. personally i would suspect the first. i would send one more e-mail and say if you dont hear anything in next 48 hours you will report them to ebay, if they dont reply, get onto ebay and let them take over, the seller may respond to a e-mail from them!

hopefully you paid with paypal and returned it with trackable postage.

Simply open a dispute with paypal, forward your tracking number, and then you will get a refund.
