eBay dispute charge £16.80

I’ve not listed anything on eBay since they did away with PayPal because I was unsure about how the new system would work….I’ve just been looking into the new fee system etc and it seems they’ve introduced a dispute fee:

“When you are found responsible for a chargeback or other disputed amount as per eBay’s policies, we charge a £16.80 dispute fee for each dispute”

In reality what does that mean? If someone wants to return something do you just have to accept it to avoid paying this extortionate fee?

Is it worth the bother? Should I just sell elsewhere?

Thanks x

eek, I did not know about that

I think it may only apply if you dispute a return; just accept the return and refund directly instead to avoid such a large fee (i reckon)

Pretty sure this applied under paypal. £14 plus vat.

Sell elsewhere

They used to actually look at disputes they haven't for years
