Bought gig tickets - buyer emailed saying cancel and pay again

Is this OK? He has over 100 positive feedback with similar items, but has emailed saying he can't get into Paypal with his EBay registered email address so has set up another email address?

Well, if you can cancel it, I don't see that it matters, tbh. You are only paying once.

Make sure that it has cancelled before you pay again though.

I'd see what paypal say about it bh. I'd assume they have a FAQ page.

if you go to paypal, if the money has not yet been claimed, you can cancel it easily enough.

Go here as long as he hasn't accepted the payment you should be able to cncel it, then go ahead and send it to the other email, at least through paypal if he is a wrong 'un you are protected.

This happened to me, exactly the same scenario, it all worked out ok but the problem is, once you cancel the initial payment it takes paypal ages to transfer it back into your account; 3 days to clear at their end then a day to process and at least 3 to come back again (even though the initial payment was made by debit card ), I had to cancel, then emailed seller to explain I had to wait for the money to come back in to the account before I was willing to pay again - he was fine about that (obviously as it was his fault) so no harm done. It is a pain though if you needed the item for a gift or something.

Once I cancelled the payment I hounded paypal for ages chasing the payment back too (I think it took about a week)

The payment hadn't been claimed so I've managed to cancel it and re-pay. Didn't realise it took Paypal so long to refund the money though - bl**dy Paypal!
