Collection only - can I change payment method?

Really kicking myself and would be very grateful for advice.

Selling some heavy items at the minute which are due to end tonight. They’re collection only and payment defaulted to PayPal.

I haven’t used eBay for ages and didn’t think while listing, but last night I suddenly remembered I’d read that this was a bad idea. Can I change payment type this late on and/or is there any other way of protecting myself against potential scammers?

I thought you could not use PayPal with ebay any more.....

I recently sold something collection only (TV) on ebay. When they collect, both of you open the ebay app and scan the qr code from their phone as proof theyve collected.

As soon as it finishes message the winner to say cash on collection. You can mark it as paid in the app when they collect. If they get the message too late and pay PayPal you can refund them and still do cash.

Urgh, wishing I had never bothered. They’re not especially high value at all, but I’d rather have given them away on free cycle than be scammed.
