Hello

I have just sold a couple of things on ebay and have been paid via Paypal, the money is showing in my paypal account. I have not been paid this way and am in the process of setting up my bank account with them, they have said they have deposited two small amounts, but it take a couple of days to clear.

I was first paid on 15 November and a few other transactions have been completed in my paypal account. Do you think it is safe to post out the items even though it has not gone through to my Abbey account yet. And also should I message the winners to let them know the sitation?

Many thanks

Not sure if i have got this right but your saying money is in your paypal account but not in bank/building society? I know with mine i have to transfer money from my papal account into bank myself, hope this helps if not hopefully be someone more knowledgable along in a bit

I am not sure, I have used Paypal when I want to purchase things myself, but it seems for them to transfer the money into my bank it take a few days to set up. They said they are deposited two snall anounts into my bank account, then once I receive and confirm it, it shuld be all systems go.

If the money is showing as cleared in your paypal account then it is safe to post items as buyers have paid with cleared funds (if they are paying with e cheque via aypal wait for it to clear)

You need to request to transfer money to your bank account (no charge if over £50 small fee if less) and if you are setting your bank details up this will take a few days (and also payment takes around 4 days after requesting it to actually hit your bank account) if you don't request it to be transferred to your bank account it will simply stay in your paypal account

Can anyone tell me the difference between "payment received" and "paypal credit"? They both look like the money is in my account, but I thought I'd better check before I send out the item, as it was expensive.

hi..can anyone help please.ive just sold my first two things on ebay and used paypal to collect the money.
ive used it before to buy things.my paypal account now tells me i cant accept anymore credit card transactions.
so ive updated to a premier account.
was this the right thing to do ?
will i be able to accept more credit card payments ?
thanks

Yes you will. Some people fund their paypal account through their credit card but when you had just the basic account you could only accept two credit card payments a month (I think it was a month, it could be three months I can't remember) anyway, now you've upgraded to a premier account you can accept them all the time.
