Paypal question

I'm watching something for which I'd need to pay by Paypal. Can I just do this via a one-off cc transaction at the time or do I have to set up an account in advance ? Not a regular ebayer so have no real need for an account.

yes you can but it takes time to set up a paypal account, as they verify it by sending small amounts to your account and you have to enter what they are. Quicker to do it via a debit card than a credit card and if you win email the seller and let them know.

Why easier with debit card ? Can I just pay direct into the sellers paypal account from my debit/credit card or do I have to have one myself ? Sorry if seem thick !

quicker to set up with a debit card as you can go to your bank and get a mini statement to find the crucial amounts paypal have put in the account, with a credit card it takes ages for your statement to come through but presumably you can ring them???? We don't do internet banking though.

you can just pay via credit card
I have not bothered with or ever heard about this verification stuff
