Non-paying bidders (NPB) since Jan 2021

I sell quite a bit on EBAY and have always been prepared to ship overseas. Not all countries and not all items.

Since Jan I decided to only use GSP so that any documentation would be their responsibility not mine.

The number of NPB from overseas has increased a lot.

Has anyone experienced this? I tried to talk to EBAY about what postage charges the buyer see before the auction completes but they were very vague.

I think sometimes people bid before they look at the postal charges. One quick solution is to put ''UK'' in the title and a union jack in the corner of your first image, but I'd prefer Ebay to display the country the item is located in.

The GSP charges are very high. I think buyers bid on the item without realising the shipping charges.

I don’t think bidders see the price until they win the item, as I accept GSP and often have overseas buyers messaging me before auctions end to ask me the price to ship to their country.

Good tip about UK in the title - I normally have space.

And I think 19lottie82 you are right that the buyers dont see the full charge until after the auction is over, but the ebay rep was very vague on that point. I am positive that in the past I used to be able to see (myself) the GSP charge before bidding on an auction.
