DP sold his old iPhone for £100 yesterday and posted it straight away. However.. after the sale the buyer messaged him asking him to send it to a different address which like an idiot he did. The buyer has then opened a PayPal dispute saying the transaction wasn't recognised. All DP has been able to do in response is submit his tracking info which of course is to an address not on this guy's PayPal account. Has anybody had experience of this? I was thinking surely if the buyer has actually had his account hacked or is pretending this is the case why would DP lose his money too, as this isn't his fault, but then I also know PayPal will probably look at it and just rule that DP sent the phone to the wrong address. He uses ebay managed payments so the money is now on hold.
