Buyer not paid and not answering messages

Not the biggest problem in the world but I sold an item a week ago and there has been no contact or payment from the person who won the auction. In this situation what is the best thing to do? I have reminded them with no answer,

You can’t make them pay unfortunately but raise a ‘non payment strike’ against them, this will then effectively stop them being able to purchase again if sellers have their buyer preferences set to exclude non payers.
IIRC you open an ‘unpaid item’ case against them and eBay do the rest in background.

Yes, you need to open an unpaid case against them so that you don't end up having to pay selling fees. I seem to be getting more and more of these lately. I find it really annoying when I'm asked if I would accept XXXX for something, I agree, and then I never hear from them again. Ebay ends the listing once you've agreed to their offer - I wish it didn't until they actually paid!

I've had the same. So annoying as there was someone else bonding for it too. No reply to payment reminder or another message sent. I've opened a case but have to wait now for 4 days after that to be up to relist and get my fee back from eBay. It's really frustrating. I wouldn't even mind if they had messaged asking me to cancel as at least then it could be delisted by now.

It’s been a while but if you raise an unpaid item dispute and they don’t pay then you can offer the item to the second place bidder at the price they offered. Not sure if that arrangement still works. Defo dispute though.

This has happened to me loads recently! No contact at all and it's so rude - nothing you can do unfortunately. I'm giving up on eBay because of this and the fact they'll always side with dodgy buyers

Make sure you block them from bidding on your items again!

You can only leave positive feedback as a seller @Chalcroft

The buyer will get a non payment strike on eBay but otherwise I don't think they take any action even for serial non payers
