No communication/tracking number from seller, what can I do?

Bought a buggy from ebay as my dds broke

Cost me £60 which was a bargain, seller had 100% feedback so offered to do bank transfer (why oh why, stupid me!) which was done last Monday. Seller said the would get it couriered that week. Was told it was picked up on Thursday so that was fine, stayed in all day Friday and nothing. Emailed them that evening asking for a tracking number (used parcel2go and I know you get one with them) as I work a Monday and it would be handy to see where it was so I could get someone to stay in. Got nothing back. Emailed again on Sunday and heard nothing, then when I came home from work on Monday there was nothing through the door. Emailed again asking for tracking number and got a response on Tuesday completely ignoring what I had asked. Simply asked if I had it yet as I should have. Replied AGAIN saying no and can I have tracking number. Have mailed every day since and I feel as though something is very wrong.
Now their feedback has 2 negs from people saying they wouldn't let them collect the items . They seem to have sold quite a few expensive items recently which have all been relisted again but under different item numbers. So I think I have been done!!!

So after all that - what do I do now? I still have all emails, bank details, payment receipt etc. Is it too early to be demanding a refund (my baby needs a fipping buggy!, been stuck in the house for weeks)

Email them once again and state that if they cannot provide a tracking number that you will be contacting the police. You could get their address from ebay and a telephone number. Alternatively, go on parcel2go website and try and make enquiries there. Good luck!

I made an email enquiry (my mobile contract only allows free local calls) but nothing from them. They have a number so I might try and get a friend to call them for me. I'll send a final email then. So at them and myself!

I've never done bank transfers - but, how do you stand on canceling them?

SweetFA · 09/11/2007 12:52

Can you tell us the seller's ID or item no?

dee24 · 09/11/2007 13:13

It's a straight transfer - money is available immediatly.
Sellers ID is beautiful-pumpkin, I am just so annoyed as they are lying about the courier and I don't see why you would even try and do this. I only want a flippin tracking number!!!!

Dee was it the Maclaren?

I still think it's worth contacting your bank. You never know.
I wish we could help more, do contact ebay and ask them to investigate as they might step in if lots of people have been done...?

Have they still not been in touch?

SweetFA · 09/11/2007 18:09

The person who won the freestyler seems to have collected it and received feedback - might be worth contacting her or other winners to ask about their impression of the seller - not strictly allowed but I've done it before.
She's an old hat at ebay too, so probably won't be phased!

It seems they might just be having courier problems, lets hope so...

dee24 · 09/11/2007 19:36

They may be but they seem to be dodging my question for a tracking number - I've sat in all week!

I contacted the buyer if the mamas and papas mpx to ask what she thinks about the seller so hopefully get a reply from her.

have you filed an item not received?

you won't get your money back, but it may prompt them into doing something, you never know.....

dee24 · 09/11/2007 20:38

I have done this morning. Still nothing at all.

can you go on the parcel to go website and try to find it under postcode?

We use interlink and you can find parcels by typing in your postcode and see if there is anything on its way to you. Alternatively call the local depot and they will be able to tell you if they sent anything to your address. Sometimes drivers dont leave a calling card .. (just positive thinking)

dee24 · 09/11/2007 20:52

I can't look that up and my moby has no credit for me to call them (only get free local calls to 01 numbers )
Emailed parcels to go but nothing.

Have you got their address?

dee24 · 10/11/2007 19:11

No not yet, I can request these from ebay I think? Or would I have to phone them?

Oh well, they now have 7 neg feedbacks so looks like they have conned around 15 people if their selling history is anything to go by. Can this be reported to the police as fraud then? I'm lucky as my £60 is one of the lowest transactions! Sent a letter to my bank re transfer with the details, don't know if they can do anything but worth a bash. Paypal only for me in future!

Just checked them out - they look like fraudsters - poor you. Hopefull enough people will report them to the police and they might actually do something about it.
