Hi, new to ebay- how do i ask for a partial refund on item?

It has several pieces, one is broken. The seller at first sent a message saying they will return some money, then went on to offer only “apologies”.

How do I make a case on ebay?

Open a significantly not as described case.

The seller can then either refund in full, or negotiate a partial discount with you.

To be fair to the seller, this is how it should be handled - when you open the case it gives them the ability to make a partial refund.
