New EBay payments system - are sellers not alerted when items sold?

I signed up last week to this new EBay payments system, as I gather it’s compulsory. Not happy because PayPal worked smoothly and easily - and have had a problem today. I just looked at my EBay account and realise that I have sold two items - the same buyer bought two items from me early this morning. There has been no email notification - I have checked spam too. Before this change, you got the PayPal notification and knew immediately that you needed to post. Has anyone else had this issue? I always keep in contact with buyers, and post promptly - I am irritated that I have not known about this sale. Does this mean that I just have to keep checking EBay throughout the day? I don’t sell masses - this seems a poor system, when sellers are not alerted to a sale. Any feedback very welcome!

Seems there's a problem there. We have sold a couple of items over the weekend, with the new payment system, and got emails to say they had been sold. We got notifications from the app too

If you look at your account you should be able to alter your preferences so you still get an email when an item sells (look under account and then communication preferences then scroll down to seller options).

Oh that explains it! Flipping heck. Why did they change it?

I imagine you'll see sales on the App, look under Sold, even if no email got sent.

Problem is that my phone has made the 'cash register Kaching! noise' 4 or 5x this afternoon... and yet only one sale is showing. This makes me nervous. One person messaged to say they "will pay" tonite. £8. What do you think odds are of that payment ever appearing? sigh.

My app has stopped making the 'kerching!' noise though ☹ I also had a sale this morning, but only knew because the tiny Ebay icon silently appeared at the top of my phone's screen and I happened to look. I was on my phone messaging and emailing clients at the time, so didn't just happen to miss the noise. I nearly ignored it as the silent icon usually only means something new has been listed that is a saved search. It hasn't made it for the last few sales either, but for those I assumed I hadn't heard it as was busy with other things.

I think people are gradually being invited to transfer to the ebay payment system, but not all at once. I have but DH hasn't yet.

I have ebay messages like these... Looks like I'm being invited to register, but I end up going in circles if I try to register to use new payments system. Or I already did register & forgot. eBay chat was no help. Anyway, I will continue to mostly ignore while waiting for something that lets me actually register.
