Ok, I 'won' an item on Oct 18th, paid immediately by paypal.

Seller sent me a note a few days later saying she couldn't get the money out of paypal, she'd post once she could do that.

I sent a note back saying thanks for letting me know, let me know when you post it.

On the 27th, I sent another email asking for status. No answer.

I've sent another message via Ebay asking for status within 48 hours.

If I end up having to put in an 'item not received' thingy, what is my deadline? Is there anything else I should be doing?

(The item isn't that expensive. It will be expensive to post - although of course the postage fees were high.)

Dnt know much about ebay really, but my mum was having problems with her pay pal account but has finally got it sorted. Can you not email pay pal to see what is happening?

Nbg · 06/11/2007 12:44

Well if shes having trouble getting the money then you should be able to see why I reckon.

NotQuiteCockney · 06/11/2007 12:59

The problem she was having getting the money was all on her end, about her account not being verified. Nothing to do with me. She made that clear.

Ahhhhh I see.

Well thats not very fair on you then.
She should have had the account verified before she started selling.

NotQuiteCockney · 06/11/2007 13:09

No, it's not fair, but I was reasonable with her about it at first, because she at least took the initiative and contacted me about it.

How long do I have before I have to raise an 'item not delivered' thingy with ebay?

10 days usually. select 'item not received' and paypal will refund you. you've waited long enough

NotQuiteCockney · 06/11/2007 16:15

Well, I'll give her the 48 hours, because I asked her to answer in 48 hours.

10 days is the minimum, what's the maximum?

you can request her contact details from ebay and phone her?

NotQuiteCockney · 06/11/2007 21:59

I might do that. The item isn't rare or difficult to source, so I'm more inclined to just give up if she doesn't contact me within the 48 hours. (I did email her last week, too.)
