Paypal say 'completed' but ebay say it's still pending???

Received paypal payment last week for item, and tranferred funds to my bank account at the weekend (no probs). However, on MyEbay page it's telling me that the payment is pending through paypal, and that the buyer has not completed checkout. I know that payments can be pending if drawn on a bank account rather than on existing paypal funds, but then how would I have been able to transfer funds to my bank account??? Just a bit reluctant to send the item out... Anyone shed any light??

was it an echeque? does it say cleared or uncleared?

Hi . No not an e-cheque - had one of those a few weeks ago. I've contacted the buyer to see what her info is saying, but no reply as yet..

ebay sometimes gets a bit un-synchronised with paypal. Check in a few hours. I don't know why this happens but I have noticed it before a few times.

I've just had one similar to yours I think.
Showed on ebay as not paid yet in paypal payment was complete. Even went as far as dropping into eligible for dispute.

I might wander onto paypal forum to see if anything's going on...

Just had a reply from buyer saying that it's defo gone through, and that she's had this before and had to pay twice (presumably when the first payment had gone through) She's had v.good feedback, so may just send!

can't find anything so maybe it's just a coincidence that it has happened to both of us.
lailasmum will be right about it not being synchronised - just odd when it happens isn't it?
If it was an instant paypal payment then I'd post it straight away, especially if it is 3 days since they paid
