Selling Items

I wonder if anyone can help me please.

I want to sell several items on ebay (each at a fixed price). I want to sell them at a similar time. I have never sold on ebay before so excuse my ignorance but can I add the items on then launch them at the same time or do I need to add each separately and launch each separately one at a time?

If you have a fixed price then you don't fix the selling time. That makes no sense. Or did you mean set a precise listing time -- listing start time is not same as listing end time (sold time).

You can schedule the start time; Ebay actually slightly adjusts it but will be close enough; eg., 9pm can slip to become 9:06, for example.

Why does the finish time matter so much to you?

Thanks lljkk. I realised there might be some confusion - I mean to launch them at the same time rather than finish at the same time. A bit like stocking up a shop then opening it. I don't actually want an ebay store just individual listings.

It's easy to schedule the start time. :)
Still free afaik (they used to limit how many you could schedule for no cost)

Thank you so much for your help lljkk - one more question is there a limit to the start time - i.e. so you can put the start time to one month from now say? Any limit? I don't know how long it will take me to upload the various items.

If you have the app, under the auction price category bit there’s an option to set scheduled time.

However if you have similar items to sell, I’d suggest ending them at staggered times (say 5 mins) as you might get individuals who are interested in several items.

And I just looked about start time - it I list right now, the latest I can set the start date is 9th March.

Yeah there is a limit, you can only schedule so far ahead, I seem to remember it's about 3-4 weeks.

I only list buy it now because I think on average it gets better prices (people pay for convenience of quick sure purchase, lord knows I do). Ending all your auctions at about same time sounds like a headache keeping track of who bought what, and getting the right address labels on the right parcels.

Exception could be if they are truly closely related items that tend to go together, but I don't sell much stuff like that myself. I suppose I bought a load of Ian Rankin books recently... and guess what, I only used buy it now so I could get my needs sorted not have auction listing uncertainty nonsense.

if you are selling at fixed price just list them with scheduled start as far in future as possible and then when you have enough items you can go back in and revise them to start now

however if you are a new seller you will have a selling limit of maybe 5-10 items a month to start with you can't just go and list 50 items all at once ( the limit Increases when you post on time etc and get good feedback) my advice is to try and post everything the next day at the latest if a new seller people don't want to wait a week ( three days for second class mail and 3-4 days for you to go to post office)

That's really useful, thank you.
