Hi, so I listed something for sale, under free listings, and it has sold.

The item is expensive and large and so it is being collected in person, with cash on collection.

My question is, I assume, as it sodl through ebay, some of the money will need ot go back to ebay in selling fees.

How do I work out how much, and how do I then pay them?
Do they send an invoice?

I haven't used ebay for ages, so no money sitting in my account form other items.

Thanks

Selling fees for private seller are 10% should be shown in your 'account'. You probably nominated a bank account so fees would come from either there or your paypal account.

10% eBay fees and don’t forget about PayPal fees, I think they used to be 3% + 20p, but I have a feeling they maybe changed very slightly, recently.

There are calculators you can use which are useful.

I would take a look at some of the common eBay scams seeing as the item is being collected just to see if there is a way to cover yourself (look on the eBay community help to search).

Thanks all.
We are aware of the buying scams, and will get the cash paid into our bank on collection, or else cash.

I just couldn't work out how much the fees were. We are selling on behalf of someone else, so I need to let them know how much of it is profit.
