Looking for a bit of advice. I received a notification this afternoon that an item I've been expecting has been delivered. Except it hasn't.
A few things stand out:
- Its says (on eBay) the item was delivered today at 19.08. I got the notification at 15:13. So that's a bit odd.
- Item says it was delivered by Royal Mail second class tracked, and provides a tracking number. Using the RM website I checked the tracking number and it does say delivered, via first class tracked.
- I used the tracking chat to query. It asked me to confirm the delivery postcode, which I did, and it returned saying that's not the postcode on file for that tracking number and that I should contact the sender.
So I messaged the sender, thinking perhaps they had sent multiple parcels out that day and mixed the tracking numbers up. As of yet no response, but I appreciate that it's not been that long.
The delayed time on the tracking number is bothering me though so I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this, and what the outcome was?
Also how long would you say is a reasonable time to wait for a response before I raise with eBay?
