Bit early, I know, but I'm a Ebay selling virgin and I need a question answering!

We got a reserve price on something on Ebay and a member has asked what it is. What do I do, do I tell him and run the risk of him saying he'll give me that for it now or finish the auction in the hope of getting more? What's the done thing anyone?

Up to you I think. If you want to you can tell them or you can choose not to.

Send them message, something like

Thank you for your enquiry but at the moment I do no wish to disclose the reserve amount.

I would tell them.

We are selling our car on e-bay at the momment, within a day of it being on there someone asked the reserve price, we told them and now it is on the reserve price, hopefully we will get a little more

Thanks, I've just noticed that the member is a first time buyer too! Between the two of us it could be a complete disaster!
