Looking for some constructive feedback if possible

I’m a long time lurker but just joined

Ok, as you can tell from my name I’m cabin crew. Over the years I’ve sold a few old uniforms, name badges, shoes and tights/stockings on eBay. Almost all sell to men and I know it’s for sexual pleasure for them but that really doesn’t bother me.

I’ve got a message tonight from a guy that bought some shoes off me a while ago saying he’d pay £200 or even more for another pair, if I include photos of me wearing them. Only have to show up to my thigh, so nothing identifiable.

The concept of doing this doesn’t bother me in the slightest, but I’m nervous about bringing it up with hubby because I don’t think he’d be keen.

To me it’s a stupid amount of money to turn down for showing less than I’d show on the beach, but is there any risk to me? I’m a private seller, can the buyer find my address etc? What’s the worst that could happen lol?

Anyone got any constructive input as to if I’m insane to do this or insane to turn the money away?

No risk of losing the money as he’s paid friends and family.

The photos are of my feet and legs, nothing else, nothing identifiable. If he or any other men want to wank over my legs or feet then tbh I have absolutely zero issue with that, I show more flesh on a night out and lots more on the beach, and wear the shoes daily anyway.

Gut feeling is he’s a lonely old man who is being honest and upfront, time will tell I guess

So you've arranged for your husband to be your pimp.

The implications of this are so, so grim.

Worriedandabitscared · 03/01/2021 09:36

@Cabincrewclare

True, but he bought a pair of shoes off me before, about a year ago, and hasn’t caused any issues
So he already has access to your address?
Cabincrewclare · 03/01/2021 09:37

Omg what?

My husband took the pics, not exactly easy for me to take them myself

He emailed them using my account with my permission

The money has been paid into my PayPal and my bank.

I wear the trousers (not literally haha) in this house far more than hubby does, comparing him to a pimp is laughable!

Hardly @MeMarmiteYouJam

RickOShay · 03/01/2021 09:38

@Cabincrewclare
Overreaction I think
Don’t worry!

Cabincrewclare · 03/01/2021 09:38

He has access to my address through having bought off me before yes, but ha shad for some time. He also has 4000+ feedback without issue for buying and selling over the last 16 years

I'm going against everyone here, but I I think fair play!!
It's easy money and your both comfortable with it, why not?! Good on you! Enjoy spending every penny!!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/01/2021 09:40

There is just something so grim about all of this.

The irony is I’ll,prob put it toward a pair of shoes lol

I love my heels haha, have over 120 pairs, plus half a dozen I rotate through for work

Crack on with this little scenario, since you don't see or understand what is playing out here.

But it's really gross.

KarlKennedysDurianFruit · 03/01/2021 09:43

A housemate at Uni used to sell worn primark knickers for £40 a pair, twenty years ago. Some men are idiots. For future op sell this kind of stuff using a separate anonymous eBay account, not your normal one

Worriedandabitscared · 03/01/2021 09:44

Tbf I also think fair play! I just hope it doesn't bite you in the arse somehow, when something sounds too good to be true sometimes it is! I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with him knowing my address no matter how much feedback he had.

Next thread - man I sold pictures to keeps showing up at my house Grin

Hopefully it all goes well, you have your £200 and he has pictures of you in his murder den Grin

RickOShay · 03/01/2021 09:44

So what is playing out here @MeMarmiteYouJam?

Divebar · 03/01/2021 09:45

All sorts of strange things get sold on eBay... I came across pictures of larger ladies wearing tights which were being sold used. That’s got to be sexual surely ? People have all sorts of sexual peccadilloes and doesn’t mean they’re automatically a stalker. This guys taken quite a risk trusting you with his ID information given the type of fraud that could be committed with that so I think you’re safe.

I'm with you! I sold "well worn" shoes for a while on eBay a few years back and made about £300 for tatty Primark shoes that I hadn't even paid £30 for collectively. I also got asked by a couple buyers to send pictures of my feet either in the shoes or bare and made another £150 or so. I had an eBay account solely for the shoes so it had no real details on and I couldn't be traced by the buyers. My DH knew about it and was fine. He even sold some of his "well worn" shoes too ...though no requests for photos of his feet!
Sunbird24 · 03/01/2021 09:50

I just came to say make sure you remove the metadata from the photos if you’re sending him digital copies but I see it’s too late! (Unless DH did it before he emailed them)

Divebar · 03/01/2021 09:51

@LooneyLovefood

Who was buying your husbands shoes then? Gay foot fetishists or Lady foot fetishists?( I never really think of women having that fetish.) Now I’m thinking of all the well worn shoes I’ve binned over the years 😭.

ivfbabymomma1 · 03/01/2021 09:56

Fair play I'd say!

Soubriquet · 03/01/2021 09:57

I would have done it too..

How did you manage to start this up?

We never delved into who it was - I would assume men but who knows. It was more straight forward for DH as he would just get bids like a normal email sale and the shoes went to the highest bidder. I would get messages for requests and private offers for my shoes. I'm guessing the buyers felt more comfortable approaching a seemingly female seller rather than a male one but that's just a guess.

Cabincrewclare · 03/01/2021 09:59

I’m cabin crew and there is a healthy market on eBay for anything cabin crew related. Sold lots of my old shoes, uniforms etc over the years, even tights and stockings.

This guy was the first to be so forward about wanting to see me, we’ll, bits of me, which is what caught me by surprise

Good for you! Could be a lucrative side hustle..! X

TJ17 · 03/01/2021 10:18

I don't have an opinion on whether you do it or not, I don't know enough about eBay safety/security but one thing I will say is DO NOT keep it from your DH!!

Can you imagine what it would look like if he found out???

What would you do if you found out that behind your back he had sent a stranger a picture that is clearly for sexual fantasy even if it didn't reveal anything?

TJ17 · 03/01/2021 10:20

Sorry just seen your updates. Should have RTFT (shoot me now 😅) just panicked about the implications to your marriage on your behalf for a minute there 😂😅
