Do you take cash or PayPal, had a buyer today collect an item it was only £5 and they wanted to use PayPal.

Cash only. Using PayPal for collection is a well known scam. You have no proof they have the item so they collect then claim from PayPal and you have to refund

eBay has an option to ask a buyer to scan a qr code when they collect now. You ask them to scan before you hand the item over so they can't claim that they don't have the item and request a refund. It makes accepting PayPal for collected items less risky
