prob a v stupid question, but how do i refund someone?

she paid on paypal. i have the item back. now what do i do?? i have sent her a msg asking for her email address so i can paypal the money to her but she's not got back to me . is there a simpler way?

go into paypal, find the transaction, click on details and there should be a refund button

a refund must be done via the refund button and not sent as a normal payment - else the buyer will not get the full amount they originally paid

oh. bum. i did it as a normal payment. but i def gave her back the full amount she paid. to the penny! not that i think i should have refunded at all. but heyho thats another matter! do i need to leave feedback now or leave it?
