woudl you leave negative feedback?

bought a digital ovulation thingy on ebay last weekend. paid immediately and have heard nothing from the seller. emailed him 3 times, first 2 politely enquiring when he was going to send the thing and the last one saying if i hadn't heard from him by today i was going to report item as not sent. got an email from paypal today saying he has paid for the delivery through paypal which means it should be posted on monday at the latest. still nothing from him. checked his feedback and at least one other person has complained about his lack of communication.

too early to be thinking about feedback.

if he's paid for the postage then it's likely he will send it. It could get stuck in the mountain of postal backlog and take some time.
No excuse for lack of communication though.

Wait until you get it, check the condition of it etc then consider your feedback.
Contact him first with a message of "received this morning - thank you" see if he gives you FB. This is the only way you could avoid a retaliatory FB.
If you don't mind a retaliatory FB, which you shouldn't if you think potential buyers need to be made aware of this seller then post your FB before waiting for his.
You can also mark him down on the stars for communication

i can understand your frustration at this I have had it the other way trying to get someone to pay and hearing nothing despite 3 mails being sent by me, then i logged on today and they had paid up! But i didn't leave negative feedback, as i got paid, i just sent a mail back saying thanks and i'd send it out

I try to avoid neg feedback where i can, you could always say that the item is fine (providing it is when it arrives!!) but the post was very slow

it is just the rudeness that gets me. also i am not going to be able to use it until next month now as i ahve missed the boat this month.

yes i agree i both buy and sell and don't think it takes anything to send a quick email to say whats happening - i agree and also hate the rudeness of some people but not everyone has the same way i'm afraid!
