Can anyone tell me if there is a time limit on how long you can wait to tell a seller you havent received an item please? Im the seller.
Sold for £1.70. Post was £2.60. Posted early Oct.
Buyer contacted me yesterday to say she never received the item. Wants a refund. Im struggling to find the royal mail recepit as time as lapsed and to be honest I dont have the energy either.
Do I need to just issue a refund even at 6 weeks later? Its the principle moreso than the money
Many thanks

30 days

According to this, the person has 30 days from estimated date of delivery to inform you that something hasn’t arrived.

The rules under eBay are 30 days to claim for non delivery
But under PayPal they have up to 180 days if they pursue that

Take a lesson from this - always take a photo of the proof of postage receipt and add the tracking / reference number to eBay.
