I have purchased my first thing on ebay. It is showing as payment pending. The funds have been taken from my card however it is saying the recipient of this payment is unregistered.
It says on paypal for the payment to be unclaimed it is either they haven't got an account, they can't accept cards or they have chosen to accept card payments individually.
She does have an account and accepts cards as listed on ebay.
I won this last night is this just normal and am i just waiting for her to accept payment ?
Thanks

dunno but will bump for someone who does know

She probably hasn't registered as a premier account holder which would allow her to take credit card payments with Paypal. She just needs to upgrade her account and then she can accept the payment. I've had this happen before and it was sorted in the end.

lilyloo - i had this the other day. Some people set their paypal accounts so that you have to physically accept the incoming monies, so until your seller does that it will show up unclaimed. HTH

LilyLoo · 17/10/2007 12:57

thanks nip as long as it's them causing the delay and not something i'm doing wrong.

The buyer still hasn't claimed. I have since made a second purchase to someone else that has gone through fine. I have mailed her and she said there is no problem and she will get the stuff out. However paypal say they cancel the payment if unclaimed for 30 days.
What should i do ?

It sounds like her ebay email address is not the same as her paypal registered email address - it's really easy to do (I did it!!) when you change email address and then advertise your stuff, ebay saves the old email address and then you can't claim the money. You need to ask her for her paypal registered email address, cancel the old payment (main paypal page - easy to do) and then re-pay using paypal - put in 'service' when asked instead of ebay item - just in case. The seller should be fine about this as it's happened to me 3 times now - once as a seller and twice as a buyer.x

I did mention that to her on the last email and just asked her to confirm that the email address was correct she still not replied to me. I was thinking the same thing. As a seller would you just leave this unresolved now since Wed ? If she doesn't reply who should i contact paypal or ebay ?

It's odd - she can't get the payment if the email address if incorrect. I would contact paypal and get them to confirm that you've done all you can and that they need her to ring them (alternatively she can just give you her email address again and do the cancel/repay!!!) Perhaps she doesn't need the money!!

Maybe ! But i would like the stuff regardless Thanks will try and mail her again today and then contact paypal tom, thanks
