no - once you're left it, it's there....

spooklesandwhine · 08/10/2007 13:20

No, spook. Though if they don't pay, I don't it stops you doing an unpaid item dispute. Email ebay now to have it on record it was an error, in case this happens...
I once sent an antique doll before I got paid.
(naive emoticon)
The people in the dolls bit are usually pukka, but this woman's cheque never turned up - I had to ask her to paypal it, she sounded like such a chancer on the phone, anyway she did eventually but not till I'd had some sleepless nights.
Her cheque turned up 6 doors away, had been addressed to 'Sue, St. Michaels, Canterbury'.

I mean ffs. It only got to my neighbour as she is a Sue and her partner knew someone in the sorting office.

unfortunately you can't have it removed, and also you can't email ebay.

You can still file an unpaid dispute if they don't pay and if it comes to it you can always add to the feedback left with something like - pos left in error. buyer didn't pay - but wait until you do this, give them chance.

Always best as a seller to wait until FB has been left for you before you leave your FB - I find it easier to double check that I am leaving only the FBs that need it

spooklesandwhine · 08/10/2007 15:59

Yes i agree about giving them the benefit of the doubt of course, and I am just hoping that they pay up soon

I have emailed ebay but of course they can do nothing, but thought i'd give it a go anyway! One person said they have sent their money and the another I still haven't heard from

Fingers crossed it will all be ok - it was just a simple error of which i will make sure i'm more careful of next time!

Thanks

six, you can email ebay. Just go to the 'help' section, it is fairly simple, I have done it probably hundreds of times over various issues

spooklesandwhine · 08/10/2007 16:09

lol FA your funny

the person has a feedback of 750+ and it is all really good feedback to be fair, all have said about good/fast payment etc, so fingers crossed

its may own fault i was in a hurry leaving multiple feedback and didn't notice what i had done until it was too late

spooklesandwhine · 08/10/2007 17:42

Hooray all paid now

won't do that again though

so pleased they have paid! whew!

FA - I take it you mean the 'contact us' bit where you send an email and get an automated reply?
I was meaning you can't actually send ebay an email in the hope that someone at ebay would be able to put this on record etc etc - it doesn't work like that

I still help at the CQ&A boards - ner ner with a cherry on top

FrightAttendant · 09/10/2007 07:21

Eek!

Ners officially retracted

FrightAttendant · 09/10/2007 07:22

But I meant if you have a copy of an email you sent surely you can c&p it to them in the event of a dispute? That was all. I know you never get a useful answer

FrightAttendant · 09/10/2007 07:24

Who are you on the boards, Six? I totally lost touch when I was pregnant this time. I miss you guys

But for some reason I am convinced in my little brain that TC is the same woman as Cod! it must be the typing.

sixlostmonkeys · 09/10/2007 08:42

Aww don't retract the ners! I love ner ners - they make me giggle - I need 'some' fun dammit

I'm not one of the 'big guys' on there, I generally just post (under a few IDs) when it seems no one else is about. usually you just have to blink and a few of the regs have answered (don't they ever need to eat or pee??!)

'Joining in' isn't for the faint heart. You can't beat a daily dose of Feedback is optional! and a good old albatross tho

sixlostmonkeys · 09/10/2007 08:48

oh yeah, the email thing.
I never advise anyone to contact ebay - it only raises their hopes.

If you ever want a bit of fun, use the contact us and say something like
Dear ebay, I need your help. My cat chased the guinea pig and coffee spilled on the keyboard. There were sparks and when i looked a bid has been placed on a hot pink diving suit. I have told the seller I don't want it because I am scared of fish. The seller says they will leave me bad feedback and that's not fair because the guinea pig belongs to my neighbour's daughter.

You will still get a long winded standard reply from ebay

FrightAttendant · 09/10/2007 11:24

Brilliant!!! & Thankyou for your equanimity

I am going to try that one.
