I've just seen a comment on a listing about ebay not allowing it anymore. Is that right?

Yes. They pulled all mine including wraps

Jojay · 06/10/2007 22:31

Nope - not allowed.

Best place IME is the Nappy Lady classifieds.

IdrisTheDragon · 06/10/2007 22:32

Nappy Lady has stopped doing classifieds now as well - I think it was being abused.

Jojay · 06/10/2007 22:33

Oh. I'm out of date then.

There was another auction site set up just for nappies - can't remember what it was called......

I'm sure someone will know

Jojay · 06/10/2007 22:35

here

Olihan · 06/10/2007 22:40

So usednappies is about the only place, then?

Jojay, why did they stop it?

Skyler, what type did you have? I want to get rid of my Bambino Mios and get some totsbots but new ones are so expensive.

You can also post on Flames Bumfluff site in the classified.

Jojay · 06/10/2007 22:44

I've no idea why they stopped, but I bumped into that Used Nappy site when I was looking to buy some.

I don't think it's been going that long, so not sure how effective it is.

Olihan · 06/10/2007 22:47

Ah, will check out the bumfluff site, cheers.

weird they stopped it on ebay though.

I have a load of Kissaluv combos in size 1 and 2 and Motherease wraps. I really must get organised and try and list them again. They are great nappies

LentilweaverDaisyboo · 06/10/2007 22:52

apparently ebay class them as underwear and as such are deemed unhygenic....

there was a petition to the american site and they conceded defeat and allow them again, but the UK site is still not allowing them.

It's a real pain. although some get around it by not filling in the condition bit on the listing but say used in the description.

I bought some imse vimse organic recently though that were second hand. They were on but it now for £17 including postage whcih kind of gave it away.

LentilweaverDaisyboo · 06/10/2007 22:54

There are often nappies for sale in the MN classified, but I know someone who got burned recently and is very out of pocket...so I would be very wary of that.

Olihan · 06/10/2007 22:58

underwear? Are they serious? OMG.

I'm never that sure about MN B&S tbh. Unless I recognised the seller I'd be very wary, for the exact reason you've just mentioned.

Skyler, I've never heard of those, what are they like?

I had my auctions pulled too, and ended up selling on usednappies.co.uk. I actually got more for them than I would have on Ebay, as there are fewer people selling

(It still uses Paypal as a payment option).

Housemum · 06/11/2007 11:11

If you have a local branch of the NCT they still allow them at their sales - we had loads last time that sold because people could no longer sell them on eBay (typical commission charge 30% for items under £10, 15% items over £10 so may be worth bundling together into items over £10 or whtever your local branch's cut-off is)
