I have just received a postal order in payment for an item.
Can i bank it as a cheque into my account or do I need to go to the post office with it ???
Is it cleared funds ???
Thanks

it is cleared funds and you can bank it and it clears instantly or think you can cash it at po but not sure!

pyjamagirl · 03/10/2007 12:53

Go to the PO with it and they will give you the cash it is cleared funds

If it is crossed it goes in your bank but is cleared funds, if uncrossed you can take it to the PO for cash.

Oooh, it's uncrossed. I get the cash and my overdraft won't swallow it up !!!

Thank you

mygirllollipop is correct - and tho it can in essence be treated as cash.... some banks, mine included, have started making us wait a week for it to clear (like a cheque)

not crossed is fab - swap for cash at PO.
