offers rather than bidding

I have a buyer that is offering me money on an item - but the bidding price starts at what she is now offering - so why not just bid for the item?

They have sent me an email asking what Im looking for the product? I have put it in the auction to see what I get and the last item like this sold in July for £200 - so far she's offered £70

whats this all about?

I don’t think it’s problematic in the least, bidders try see if they can get a BIN bargain
You’re not compelled to accept it, if it too low. In which case let auction run
However, you could up with just one bid at the start price

Very simple - she wants it now - with no bidding competition - for a low price.

You can turn off 'offers' and tell her that you want to let the auction run... you can also block her if you really wish to.

I have sent people offers for items and emails that they have simply ignored. So you could do that - I don't take it personally.
