Buyer complaining about damage

I sold a printer, packaged it really well, buyer is now saying it has arrived damaged, he has sent photos saying i didnt show any from that angle.

I have 100% positive feeback from all that i have sold in the past and it certainly was not damaged like that.

I have insurance with MyHermes, not sure what i am now meant to do as this is first time i have had a complaint.
Thanks

What does the buyer want? Partial refund or return? Will the damage stop it working? When you know what they want you can take the matter up with Hermes.
I have had Buyers do this in the past - deliberately cause superficial damage that couldn’t happen in transit and want some money back. I now take more photos than I put on eBay and make sure I have one from each angle.

Thank you, he has requested to return. I can't get through to My Hermes, i paid for insurance too.

You'll have to accept the return and refund. Then take it up with Hermes. PayPal will almost always favour the buyer.

As pp says, eBay and PayPal will find in favour of the buyer so your best bet is to accept the return, issue a refund and make a claim via Hermes.
