Ebay helpline number?

I need to speak to ebay by telephone, they don't list my problem on their website, so I need to speak to someone in customer services.

Does anyone know their number?
I tried 0345 355 3229 - but its just an auto-mated message now, you can't speak to anyone.

Basically I sold a pick-up only time for £1,800 and had to cancel the order and refund the PayPal payment as the buyer didn't realise it was pick-up only. Now ebay are keeping £200 as seller fee credit, I want that money sitting in my account not theirs!
I rarely sell on ebay so it might take me several years to spend that much fee credit (unless I managed to sell the piece of furniture again for real this time - but as its been on ebay for a while, I'm not holding my breath. I can't drop the price because I am selling it for my friend and she can't afford to give me the seller fees until the furniture sells).

You can request a refund via the online chat. I think you need to use the website not the app. It'll be under the 'contact us' section.

...or on the app under the help section, keep going past the options to a bit called 'need more help' and there's an option for them to call you.

I haven’t sold on eBay for years but £200 from a £1800 ‘sale’ - that’s 11% !!

EBay might take the position that you could have sold it cash in hand NOT to have to pay the £200 fee.

Good luck OP.

Live chat are pretty good.

The buyer lives over 400 miles away and you can see from the messages history through ebay that the sale didn't go through and I find pass on my contact details.

Something I learned from here recently is not to accept PayPal for a collected item, always cash on collection. Otherwise the buyer could say they never collected it and get a refund from PayPal (or some similar scam). So you may want to change that for next time. If it’s been around on eBay for ages, perhaps the price is too high?
