I was wondering if anyone would be able to help with my ebay issue. I Purchased a table lamp BNIB 2 weeks ago, item arrived...began building it, only to notice that the drawer holes were not aligned meaning that the drawer wasnt able to be built.
I messaged the seller, sending photos of the issue. They replied trying to make out that my building skills were limited, that i was trying to build the drawer with the wrong pieces and that i should "seek help with installation" 😒.
I sent further pictures to show exactly what i had and they agreed that the drawer was not correct. They sent me their address and asked me to return the drawer and they would send a replacement. Being naive i believed that.
Now as i have never had to return an item i fear this is where i may have messed up. I paid for postage myself to return it using a courier. Tracking stated it was delivered last week.
I chased seller up about the replacement and they are claiming to not have recieved it. I have now asked for a return via ebay to return the whole item as seller said to return the whole table and will refund it once recieved.
I have done a quick google and realise that a seller should issue a return label which he has yet to do.
I am now worried that when it comes to returning the whole table the seller will be able to claim parts missing and ill be down the table and the money.
Can anyone who has any experience with ebay please advise on what my next step should be as to be brutally honest....i'm a little clueless.
