I've not received something I paid for by paypal, sent e-mails but no reply. Any idea what to do next? Can I just get paypal to pay me back? or do I have to start a complaint? (thereby allowing her to pull the money deregister and join again under a different name)
If she says she sent it and has proof of postage who claims? how do we claim?
Interestingly I think she also sells on here with good feedback so I am quite happy to (and planning to) wait a bit

You can raise a dispute with ebay. You can I believe ask paypal to investigate it as a fraudulent transaction.

Hope it goes ok.

I need help to (Sorry to hijack !!!)
dp bought something 5 weeks ago it hasn't arrived emailed seller no reply. Opened dispute!
he is now claiming i didn't pay him when i did and it is in my paypal history as transaction complete?
Now he is saying he sent it but the item got damaged so the courier sent it back to him before i recieved it and when he went to resend it i had pulled the payment for it? He is also saying that paypal pulled the payment and are holding it for however many days and then it will get put back into my account? If this has happened then why would paypal still say transaction complete? Really confused by this.
I now have bad feedback and an alert from ebay via him saying item unpaid? What can i do?

Try phoning pay pal they will give you some advice, my dh had a problem last week. Paypal held back payment on item he was selling because they thought the buyer was fraudulent. They were really good on the phone and gave him quite a bit of advice.

OP - open a item not received dispute. escalate to a claim.
proof of postage is meaningless - the seller needs to prove delivery ie. tracking number. If she gives this tracking number to paypal she will be ok but if she has no tracking number you will get a refund
