saltire · 29/09/2007 09:27

40, but none of bought it

anorak · 29/09/2007 09:29

I've got some things on at the moment and one of them has 50 watchers. My bro sells on it as a job and is on it every week and he says the most watchers he's ever had is about 10.

98 is very impressive, what were the items you guys got lots of watchers for?

how odd saltire.

May I ask what you were selling?

LadyOfWaffle · 29/09/2007 09:30

over 100, but that was a rare car.

StarryStarryNight · 29/09/2007 09:31

Did you sell the car, Lady?

anorak · 29/09/2007 09:33

Saltire you must have been gutted.

I get all excited when I have stuff on ebay and I look at it every five minutes and rub my hands together thinking about all the money I'm earning

yup

runawayquickly · 02/10/2007 18:49

I agree SSN, we have to know what the items are , so we can then scour our homes for the same stuff and make some money. My record is about 17 watchers on a black Ghost dress that I eventually sold for more than £100. Only cost me £40 in the first place so I was well chuffed.

ScaryMonsterStories · 02/10/2007 18:57

140ish.

I actually had 3 items on at teh time ad had over 400 watches total. Items were related so probably all the same people.

I had ~40 watchers on 1 within an hour of listing. I was super super super

runawayquickly · 02/10/2007 19:00

Ooh, the suspense is agony... what were the items?!?!?!?

empen · 02/10/2007 19:03

I am selling my car on it at the mo and it currently has 12 watchers - I check every 5 mins. It ends tomorrow and is miles from the reserve so am going to be gutted if it does not sell. I am also selling some brand new Baby Gap clothes for girls - thought I was having a girl but am having a boy-put them on today and no one is watching yet - am quite disappointed.

ScaryMonsterStories · 02/10/2007 19:07

My items were semi-industrial woodworking equipment.

They are advertised rarely on ebay and one of teh items travelled from Cambridgeshire to Scotland as they were so saught after.

peskipixie · 02/10/2007 19:08

cant remember watchers, but we got over 20000 people view an item. we listed a piece of old rope to finish 10 minutes after a tv show was on called 'ebay, money for old rope'

runawayquickly · 02/10/2007 19:34

Semi-industrial woodworking equipment, eh? DP is a builder and there's always loads of old tut from his van lying around. Here goes...

ScaryMonsterStories · 02/10/2007 20:18

I think it was the rarity but high quality of the items...made dounle what he expected as well...

kindersurprise · 02/10/2007 20:19

89 watchers watching our car, but still not near the reserve.

I need it to sell so I can buy a child friendly car

brimfull · 02/10/2007 20:24

had 50 odd watchers for a used tempur mattress,it sold for £350 !

kindersurprise · 04/10/2007 19:28

AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Still not gone above our reserve. A similar car is bidding at over 6000euros and ours still sits there DESPITE 107 WATCHERS at 2000euros. Runs out on Sunday and I really want it to go so I can buy a new car.

What did we do wrong?

empen · 04/10/2007 22:25

My car had 22 watchers and did not get half way to the reserve. Bidding has ended now and I am really disappointed that I am still stuck with the bloody car! Was getting excited about going car shopping too! I have had a few people ask to come and have a look at the weekend which may lead to a sale - hopefully
