How would you price this? Singer sewing machine

I'm fairly new to reselling, I've been buying some random lots at auction to sell on. Mostly crockery. However I'm now in possession of a Singer 401 Slant O Matic sewing machine. Looking at prices on Ebay and Facebook they seem to vary wildly! Anywhere between 30 and 250, though the higher prices seemed to be in the USA.

Is there anyonw with a bit more knowledge of this kind of thing who can give me some tips on selling it?

It's built into a table so it'll have to be collection only which will reduce the amount of potential buyers. I haven't got the space to store it long term but at the same time i don't want to give it away.

TIA

The only 'sold' one I can see on eBay was around the £21 mark, including the table, so that's probably what it's worth. There are thousands of sewing machines, and not that many people want one any more.

I've got one from the 40's, still isn't worth hardly anything !

These are the ones I've found...the 21 quid seems like a bit of an anomaly i wonder if i should sell it without the table? Seems like i might get a better price.

I think you should aim for 40 or 50 quid.
If someone wants a sewing machine they might pay that. But a basic brother one brand new would only cost about £80/90 so I don't think anyone just having a go or making basic adjustments would pay more than £50 for second hand.
My Janome cost over £500 new I wouldn't pay a lot for second hand because you don't know how it has been treated whether its been serviced etc.

Yeah, 50ish probably is about right. Though i might list it high for a week or so and see if i get any takers. After that I'll probably get sick of knocking into it.
