There’s a listing I’m v interested in, but it’s v far away. Seller has a note saying they will arrange shipping (buyers cost obv) Also they will list on Facebook for 1 week then go to eBay.
Is it worth waiting?
I’ve only ever done cash on collection on Facebook marketplace, and never used eBay, don’t have an account or anything.

Any thoughts gratefully accepted!

As long as you pay with PayPal (goods and services), you will be protected. Refuse if the seller asks you to pay by bank transfer or PayPal friends and family.

It all comes down to the method of payment

Cash, bank transfer and PayPal friends and family payments means that you have no easy recourse if something goes wrong - you’ll have to take the seller to court

Whereas if you pay via PayPal goods & services, credit card, or directly via eBay you have additional buyer protection

Also why are you v interested in the item? - Remember if the price is too good to be true it probably is

That’s really useful thank you. The reason I’m interested is the thing is simply not available round me, one came up on gumtree, but I was too slow off the mark.
I’m quite happy it’s a reasonable price for what it is, it’s not that it’s super cheap.
