Depop question

I know this is the eBay section but I wasn't sure where to put this.
I bought a jumper from someone on Depop, I bought it for my Aunty for her birthday.
Just over a week after I'd bought it the seller hadn't marked it as dispatched so I messaged them asking if they'd sent it. They messaged back saying the hadn't but they'd send it the next day. I asked them to cancel it as it was my Aunty's birthday the next day so it wouldn't get here in time. They replied a day later saying they'd sent it that morning but that I could return it.

The jumper arrived yesterday so I asked the seller for the return information. They're refusing to give it to me, saying they don't accept returns.
After a lot of back and forth they're now saying they will accept the return but won't refund me in full.

Does anyone know where I stand with this?
I previously opened a dispute on paypal about this because they took quite a while to reply when I asked them if they'd sent it (I assumed it was an inactive account).
That dispute is still open. Do I close it or continue with it?

Thanks in advance!

I don’t think PayPal will close the dispute in your favour as private sellers are under no obligation to accept returns.
Personally I’d take it on the chin and re sell the jumper.

What did the ad say in regards to dispatch. Did it give a guide to dispatch times?

The seller can prove that you received the item so paypal are unlikely to rule in your favour. Either sell it on or give it to your aunt.
